Timberwolves Softball fall 9-5 to Mohawk Valley

The SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves softball team battled hard but came up short in the first game of their doubleheader against Mohawk Valley Community College, losing 9-5 on Sunday. Despite a strong effort, the Timberwolves were unable to overcome a late surge from Mohawk Valley.
Madison Pincheon led the way for SUNY Adirondack, going 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs. Her performance helped keep the Timberwolves in the game as they fought to answer back after Mohawk Valley built an early lead.
Samantha Manning took the loss for the Timberwolves, but pitched a valiant complete game. Manning kept the Timberwolves in the contest, striking out several batters and working through adversity to finish strong. She displayed resilience and determination on the mound throughout the game.
Despite their efforts, SUNY Adirondack couldn't break through in the later innings, and Mohawk Valley extended their lead to secure the 9-5 victory.
The Timberwolves will look to bounce back in the second game of the doubleheader and finish strong as they continue their season.
