Bio

Christopher Markowski was named the Head Softball Coach in 2023.  He has spent over two decades coaching youth softball teams in the Capital Region. 

Markowski has been serving as head coach of the Electric City Bombers national team, one of New York’s top organizations, from 2016-23.  He led the Bombers to a 407-149 record in his 7 seasons as head coach. Markowski has taken his national team to highly recognized tournaments throughout the country including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama and Colorado.  Markowski’s highlights with his Bomber team include:  2nd place finish at Alabama Nationals in 2022, 3rd place finish at the Triple Crown National in Colorado 2023, 1st place finish at Recruitfest in Columbus, OH in 2021, as well as 37 tournament wins throughout the past 7 years.

Prior to his stint at the Electric City Bombers, Markowski spent over two decades coaching numerous youth softball teams including the Express Elite and the Miss Shen Organizations.  Markowski also spent 6 years as a player/coach in adult softball leagues prior to coaching youth softball.  His most recent playing experience includes 3 years in the Amsterdam Twilight Wooden Bat Baseball league from 2016-18.

In 2018 and 2022, Coach Markowski spent a season leading the Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons high school and Bryant & Stratton College – Albany teams, respectively.

Coach Markowski was a member of the Shenendehowa High School Baseball team from 1992-1994.  

Chris has a degree from Hudson Valley Community College in Civil Engineering Technology/Electrical Drafting.
