Women's Basketball Loses to Corning
The SUNY Adirondack Women's Basketball team lost Saturday afternoon to Corning Community College, 62-51.
The effort from the Timberwolves was there for this game as they played their best game of the season thus far. They took a 15-5 lead into the second quarter. That lead was cut to just a point at the half with the score being 27-26, Timberwolves. A tight and well played third quarter would leave the Timberwolves trailing by a point going into the fourth quarter. Corning would take control late in the fourth take secure the 62-51 victory.
Kayla Raymond, coming off her best game of the season, put together another solid performance. She scored 11 points on 5-6 shooting as well as collecting 5 rebounds.
The Timberwolves now stand at 0-9 on the season and will have some time off for the holiday break. Their next game will be played on Saturday December 7th when they will travel to face SUNY Broome. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
