Women's Basketball Defeats Clinton
The SUNY Adirondack Women's Basketball team recorded their first win of the season Wednesday night, defeating Clinton Community College 60-46.
The Timberwolves put together their best performance of the season in their first game back from the semester break. They took a 25-20 lead into the half and put the game out of reach in the third quarter, outscoring Clinton 19-9.
Timberwolves freshman Khaleah Cleveland put on a great performance in her debut as a Timberwolf. Cleveland led the Timberwolves in scoring with 21 points. She also added 10 rebounds. Freshman Kayla Raymond put on a great performance. She scored 9 points while pulling down a team high 17 rebounds. She also had 4 blocks and 4 steals in the victory. Mariah Hazard scored 13 points, had 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks to help lead the Timberwolves to their first win.
This win was the first career win for first year head coach Sheena Harrington.
Following the win, the Timberwolves are now 1-11 on the season including 1-4 in conference play. They will look to add to their win total on Friday when they host the Davis College Huskies. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
