Women's Basketball Win Big Against Davis College
The SUNY Adirondack Women's Basketball team defeated Davis College Friday night, 64-28.
The Timberwolves got off to a fast start, outscoring the Huskies of Davis College 21-4 in the opening quarter. They never let off the gas, taking a 42-18 lead into the half. The Timberwolves only allowed 10 points to the Huskies in the second half of the game.
Freshman Khaleah Cleveland had it going on both ends of the floor, leading the Timberwolves in both scoring and rebounds, scoring 15 points along with 15 rebounds. Cleveland also had 6 steals in the win.
Freshman Kayla Raymond had another good performance on Friday night, scoring 12 points while pulling down 8 rebounds. She also had 3 blocks and 4 steals for the Timberwolves.
Rhelyne Coleman came in off the bench for the Timberwolves and set a new career high with 9 rebounds to help lead the Timberwolves to their second straight win.
Following the victory, the Timberwolves are now 2-11 on the season. They will look to keep their win streak going on Sunday when they will host conference opponent Fulton-Montgomery Community College. Tip-off is set for 1:00 PM.
