Women's Basketball Defeats Word of Life
The SUNY Adirondack Women's Basketball team defeated the Word of Life Huskies Wednesday night, 50-40.
Freshman Khaleah Cleveland led the way for the Timberwolves, scoring a team high 16 points while grabbing a career high 17 rebounds. Cleveland also had 6 steals and 3 blocks in the victory, both career bests.
Alexis Sammarco had a productive game as well, scoring 12 points with 4 rebounds a 3 assists.
Freshman Brianna Davis Bryant did not have her best game scoring the ball but did plenty of other things to be a key part of the victory. She went 5-6 from the free throw line on her way to 7 points and pulled down a career high 11 rebounds. She also led the team with 5 assists in the victory.
Following the win, the Timberwolves are now 3-15 on the season. They will take the court next on Saturday, February 8th, when they will host the Tompkins Cortland Community College Panthers. Tip-off is set for 1:00 PM.
