Women's Basketball Claims Victory Against TC3
The SUNY Adirondack Women's Basketball defeated the Tompkins Cortland Community College Panthers Saturday afternoon, 57-43.
It was a great team win for the Timberwolves who received contribution from each player. Three different Timberwolves scored in double digits. Alexis Sammarco was the leading scorer for the Timberwolves, scoring 16 points to go along with 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Freshman Khaleah Cleveland scored 11 points and provided a spark off the bench for the Timberwolves. Cleveland also had 4 rebounds and 3 steals in the victory.
Brianna Davis Bryant matched a career high with 10 points.
Freshman center Mariah Hazard was dominant on the boards, grabbing a career high 20 rebounds to help secure the win.
Freshman Nikki Hladik played well in her second start of the season. Hladik ended with a career best 13 rebounds, with 6 coming on the offensive end.
Following the win, the Timberwolves are now 4-15 on the season. Their next game will be on Wednesday the 12th when they will travel to face off against Herkimer College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
