Timberwolves Defeat Finger Lakes in Region III Play

Coach Li and his squad traveled to Genesee to open up Region III play in the first pod matches of the year and came away with a victory over Finger Lakes.

They opened up with a decisive first set win, 25 to 15 followed by a second set 25 to 22 win. The third set was a battle, but Jana Depalo and Karley Hertzner powered them to a 26 to 24 victory. 

Depalo ended the match with 12 kills and Hertzner had 9 kills and 4 aces. 

Defensively Leah Bowen was the star as she protected the hard wood and led the team with 17 digs from the libero position.

Sophomore Breanna MacDuff set up the offense all day to the tune of 37 assists. She has been a steady force for the offense with her passing abilities and continues to consistently put up large assist numbers for the Timberwolves.

SUNY Adirondack next plays next Wednesday at home versus Fulton-Montgomery.
