Timberwolves Volleyball defeats Mohawk Valley
The SUNY Adirondack Volleyball team was victorious last night against Mohawk Valley Community College, taking down the Hawks 3-1.
It was a very competitive match with the teams splitting the first two sets. The first went to SUNY Adirondack 25-23 before Mohawk Valley tied it up, taking the second set 25-22.
The Timberwolves took the next two sets to win the game with the third set ending 25-10 and the fourth, 25-16.
Sophomore Jana Depalo led the team in kills with 12. Sophomore middle hitter Karley Hertzner had 11 kills to add to the Timberwolves offense.
Timberwolves freshman Alysia Kane had a game high 14 digs to go along with her also game leading 12 aces. Kane also led the team with 3 blocks.
Freshman Raeann Bombard played a great game as well, coming up with 37 of the teams 44 assists.
With the win, the Timberwolves are now 4-3 on the season. They will travel tonight to face off against the Davis College Huskies. Game time is set for 6:00 PM.
