Volleyball Takes Set From #1 Ranked Team

SUNY Adirondack Volleyball opened the 2024 season hosting regional opponents Finger Lakes Community College and Monroe Community College in weekend play.

The Timberwolves had their work cut out for them in their first match-up against Finger Lakes, ranked #1 in the Region 3 coach's poll. The Lakers made quick work of the Timberwolves in the first and second sets. 25-13, 25-15. With the match on the line, Adirondack dug deep and won a close set to keep them alive. 28-26 Finger Lakes was able to rebound and take the fourth and winning set from Adirondack. 25-14

SUNY Adirondack served up some aces and showed solid defensive capabilities with 71 digs. While they showed some strength, the Timberwolves are looking for more consistent play overall.

Final score: Finger Lakes 4-1
