Volleyball Battles With Erie To Take The Win

SUNY Adirondack Volleyball took a short trip to Hudson Valley Community College to take on regional opponents Erie and Niagara in weekend play.

Adirondack opened with Erie in the first match of the day. The Kats proved to be a tough opponent. The Timberwolves earned the lead winning the first set 25-19. The second set win came easier, 25-16, but the third set was just as competitive as the first, 25-20.

Setter, Natalie Durkee led the team with six serving aces while Moria Connolly added four of her own, as well as six kills. Angelina Minnear was the most productive in the attacking column with seven kills. Kadyn Castillo was the standout defensively with 14 digs.

Final score: 3-0 Adirondack
