SUNY Adirondack Volleyball was up for the challenge taking on #2 regionally ranked opponent Jefferson. It was a back-and-forth battle with the Timberwolves stealing the first set 25-18. Adirondack dropped the second and third sets, 13-25 and 20-15, but worked back to win the fourth set to force a deciding set. The Timberwolves pressured but the Cannoneers were too much, taking the last set 15-8.
Lacey Russell came up big as a defensive specialist with 26 digs. Kadyn Castillo had sixteen digs while Lilian Slattery had thirteen. Natalie Durkee had 34 assists and eleven digs. Angelina Minnear had six digs and sixteen kills with Moria Connolly adding nine kills of her own.
Final score: 3-2 Jefferson
The Timberwolves are back on the road Saturday at Jamestown with match-ups with Genesee and Jamestown.
