Volleyball Battles It Out To Earn Win

It was a neighborhood battle! SUNY Adirondack Volleyball traveled down the Northway to take on conference opponent Hudson Valley. Both teams were up for the challenge and it was a nail biter for the fans. The Vikings took the first set by two points but dropped the second. HVCC returned strong for the third set but the Timberwolves took the fourth, forcing a fifth and deciding set. Adirondack kept their momentum headed in the right direction and secured the win in the final set.
23-25, 25-27, 22-25, 25-23, 15-7

Lacey Russell dug out 20 balls while Natalie Durkee and Lilian Slattery had their hands on the ball all night. Durkee had 18 digs and 44 assists. Slattery had 17 digs and 12 kills. Moria Connolly and Angelina Minnear earned 11 and 9 kills, respectively.

Final score: 3-2 Adirondack

Volleyball has the rest of the week to focus on their next opponents. Mohawk Valley and Herkimer visit the Timberwolves in weekend play.
